Accessibility Principles

  • Updated

WorkBuzz is committed to accessibility, diversity and inclusion. The World Health Organisation estimates that one in seven people have some form of disability. In our mission to improve the working lives of a  million people, we’ve taken action to make our products easy to navigate, understand and use for everyone.

Our accessibility principles

  • Clear - Help people navigate by designing clear layouts with specific goals in mind.
  • Inclusive - Make sure everyone can use WorkBuzz platforms in whatever way fits them best.
  • Strive for better - Continuously develop our understanding of how people use our platform.

We’ve compiled a list of items we’ve implemented in our drive towards inclusive design, to make it as easy as possible to navigate for all users.

Site layout

Our webpages use well structured code, which makes it easy for individuals with screen readers to navigate. We provide text alternatives for images where appropriate.

Keyboard accessibility

For those individuals who need it, our webpages can be navigated using only tabs on a keyboard.

Contrast

Text and key page elements meet WCAG Level AA accessibility guidelines. Where possible we’ve  implemented a setting to increase page contrast which meets WCAG Level AAA requirements for text and key page elements.

Browser support

We test our platforms to ensure they work as expected on most recent versions of Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari and Google Chrome.

Text

Simple and direct text which is clear, concise and understandable by anyone.

Conclusion

We're continuing to work on making the WorkBuzz platforms more accessible. If you feel you have a suggestion about how we can improve the accessibility of our platforms please let us know
