CEO Memo to Line Managers

Send to all line managers a week before the survey

Subject: We’re launching Your Say

I’m pleased to announce that we will be launching our first employee engagement survey, Your Say, on Monday 7th September.

The Objectives of Your Say

ABC Company is known for our client focus and trusted advice. In an increasingly competitive market it’s important we build on these strengths and retain our best people.

Our goals are to:

  • Recognise our strengths and identify areas for improvement
  • Understand barriers to high performance
  • Become a better and more effective place to work

The Business Case

Organisations with engaged employees (those who understand our strategy and are committed to going the extra mile) perform four times better than companies with poor levels of engagement.

What Happens Next

On Monday 7th September, all employees will receive an invitation to complete “Your Say” from WorkBuzz – an independent company coordinating the survey. The survey will take no more than 15 minutes to complete and it will be open until Friday 25th September.

We have chosen an independent company to conduct the survey so we can guarantee employees’ individual answers will be confidential.

Your Role

It’s important that you champion the Your Say survey and encourage your teams to complete this.

They will all receive personalised invitations, so please do not share yours. We will be monitoring response rates by department.

In October, we will communicate a summary of the overall results to all employees. You will also receive the results for your department via an online WorkBuzz dashboard. It’s important that you use this to identify several areas for celebration, and some for improvement, and arrange a face-to-face briefing with your team to discuss this.

In January, we will re-run the survey to benchmark our progress and performance. If you have any questions, please contact Jill Thomas, HR Director.

Thank you for your support,
